Overview

Our Future Tech Explorers program challenges 8–12-years olds to take on advanced tech projects that spark innovation and real-world thinking. From building Bluetooth-controlled robots and coding with AI tools to flying drones and creating digital games, campers dive deep into future-facing skills. It’s a hands-on, minds-on experience that blends leadership, invention, and fun — preparing young pioneers for the tech world ahead.

Program Highlights

Campers are introduced to more sophisticated robotics concepts through the Nimble Bot (a programmable robot car). They start with an overview of robotics systems and the Nimble platform, then progress through a series of challenges: from a simple LED Blinking mission to driving the Nimble bot through a maze using block-based programming. They’ll integrate a SONAR sensor to create an Obstacle-Avoiding Robot – watching how the bot detects walls and turns on its own. Finally, they’ll add a Bluetooth module and program the robot for Bluetooth-controlled driving, even controlling it via a smartphone. By the end, they’ve essentially built and coded a robot with multiple capabilities – quite an accomplishment!

This group explores the world of artificial intelligence in an age-appropriate way. In a special Intro to AI session, campers learn what is AI. They then work on a project called “Smart Classroom” – envisioning and coding a scenario in Scratch where AI automates something in a classroom. They also get an Introduction to Machine Learning concepts and build a simple Chat bot project – using a kid-friendly tool to create a chat bot that can answer questions. These projects demystify AI/ML and show kids they can create with these technologies, not just consume them.

Our senior group blends tech and creativity through unique projects. They create Vision Boards & Mood Collages to visualize their goals. They also do Basic Clay Modeling with air-dry clay, possibly modeling a product prototype or a creature that ties into a story or game they’re working on. A particularly fun challenge is Cardboard Engineering – campers design and build a prototype of a product or a gadget out of cardboard and craft supplies. This fosters engineering thinking and prototyping skills, reinforcing that tech invention starts with simple materials and ideas.

A highlight for 10–12 is working with the DJI Tello drone. Campers get an Introduction to Tello and DroneBlocks, a coding interface for drones. They learn safety and the basics of drone flight, then plan a flight mission. In a supervised setting, they’ll upload their code to the Tello and watch it execute a flight path. This activity is thrilling and teaches programming from a truly different perspective (literally aerial!).

At this level, we encourage campers to present their projects. On the last day, they might showcase their Nimble robot’s capabilities or demo their chat bot to the group. It’s fantastic for building confidence and communication skills.

This camp is tailored for children aged 08 to 12 years who are ready to explore more advanced tech tools, leadership tasks, and creative engineering challenges.

The camp takes place at Askari IV, Karachi.

We have two exciting batches:
• Batch 1: 16th June – 03rd July 2025
• Batch 2: 7th July – 24th July 2025
Each session runs Monday to Thursday, from 03:45 p.m. to 05:15 p.m.

The camp runs for 3 weeks, with 4 sessions per week. Each session is 1.5 hours.

Yes! Campers will get a chance to present their final projects on the last day — from demonstrating their robot’s features to showcasing AI chatbot creations. This builds confidence, communication, and presentation skills.
