Overview

In this course for ages 9–13, campers become real app developers using MIT App Inventor. From building quiz apps to designing drawing tools and shake detectors, kids turn their ideas into mobile apps they can run on real devices. It's hands-on, creative, and empowering—perfect for tech-savvy kids ready to make apps with purpose.

Program Highlights

Students start by making a “Hello App” and gradually add interactivity using buttons and events. They use a visual interface similar to Scratch, adapted for app development. This builds excitement as they run their apps on real phones.

They learn to add text boxes, images, and feedback through sounds and visual elements. This introduces user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX) basics. Students feel empowered as their app responds to user interactions.

They explore multi-screen navigation, variables, and lists to build functional, data-driven apps. Apps like quizzes and inventories teach students to manage and use stored data effectively. They start thinking in terms of real mobile app workflows.

Students conceptualize, design, and build their own mobile app using everything they’ve learned. They present it to the class, explaining their choices and challenges. This boosts creativity, confidence, and public speaking.

This course is ideal for kids aged 9–14 who want to learn how to build real mobile apps using a simple, visual interface. No prior coding experience is required.

Campers will:

  • Build real Android apps using MIT App Inventor
  • Design user interfaces with buttons, images, text, and sounds
  • Work with data, lists, logic blocks, and screen transitions
  • Develop and present a final custom app project

Each session is 1 hour long, held 3 days a week, with flexible time slots between 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Parents can choose their preferred batch time during registration.

We maintain a small group size of 5 students per trainer (5:1 ratio) to ensure interactive learning and personalized attention.

This is a fully online camp, conducted live by expert instructors. Students can join from anywhere with a laptop or computer.

Campers need:

  • A computer or laptop with internet access
  • A Google account to use MIT App Inventor
  • An Android phone or emulator (recommended but optional) to test apps

All tools used are free and browser-based—no installations required.

Yes! Every student who completes the course will receive a Certificate of Completion.

The full course fee is PKR 8,000.
