Founded in 2016 by a team of technology and engineering experts, TechTree exists to give every Pakistani student access to world-class STEAM education — rooted in our context, powered by the best pedagogy in the world.
TechTree started with one observation: Pakistan's brightest students were memorising for exams when they should have been building the future. So we set out to merge modern pedagogy with hands-on making — and to make it accessible across every tier of school.
Ten years later, we've trained 100,000+ students, empowered 400+ teachers, and partnered with 50+ schools. By 2030, we aim to reach another one million.
Our curriculum is not a series of activities to complete — it's a progressive journey of capability-building that treats every child as a thinker, maker, collaborator, and future changemaker.
Every challenge, every phenomenon, every example is drawn from the Pakistani experience — the monsoon, the bazaar, the Indus, load-shedding, the flood. Students learn about their world.
Every grade runs on the same loop: Empathise → Define → Ideate → Prototype → Test → Iterate. We don't teach design thinking — we work that way.
Values like Tafakkur (reflection), Amanah (stewardship), Ilm (knowledge), Khidmat (service) and Islah (reform) are offered as a lens through which students may find deeper meaning in what they build.
Assessment is never about right or wrong answers. Students show growth through what they build, explain, create, and improve. Teachers document and celebrate progress — not grade products.
Every term ends with a real audience — parents, community leaders, local business — giving student work genuine stakes, meaning, and pride.
STEAM, not STEM. Creativity, storytelling, aesthetics and craft are treated as equal partners to science and engineering — because that's how innovation actually happens.
Our trainers don't walk into classrooms the day they're hired. Every TechTree educator completes a multi-phase certification covering pedagogy, Design Thinking, child development, AI literacy, classroom management, and our proprietary curriculum framework.
Our curriculum, quality, and direction are shaped by a growing network of advisors, mentors, and educators who bring decades of experience in pedagogy, engineering, and entrepreneurship.

Sarah brings international expertise in progressive, play-based, and inquiry-driven education. She advises TechTree on age-appropriate pedagogy for K–6, the integration of Arts into STEAM, and our early-years curriculum design.

One of Pakistan's most accomplished educationists — AKU-IED faculty, founding member of ELLTA, and a career spanning World Bank, UNESCO and UNICEF. Dr. Babur brings that depth to TechTree, shaping our AI, Robotics and IoT curriculum to be rigorous, globally current, and built for what's actually coming next.
Hundreds of teachers, school leaders, and pedagogy experts across Pakistan actively inform, test, and refine our curriculum every year.
Pakistan faces extraordinary challenges — climate vulnerability, water scarcity, energy insecurity, youth unemployment — and extraordinary opportunities. A generation of young Pakistanis who can think critically, design empathetically, and communicate powerfully is the most important national resource we can build.
This is our commitment to building that generation, one class at a time.
Students empowered with future-ready skills for the global STEAM workforce — by 2030.
