About TechTree

Building Pakistan's next generation of thinkers, makers & changemakers.

Founded in 2016 by a team of technology and engineering experts, TechTree exists to give every Pakistani student access to world-class STEAM education — rooted in our context, powered by the best pedagogy in the world.

Our story

From a classroom idea to a national movement.

TechTree started with one observation: Pakistan's brightest students were memorising for exams when they should have been building the future. So we set out to merge modern pedagogy with hands-on making — and to make it accessible across every tier of school.

Ten years later, we've trained 100,000+ students, empowered 400+ teachers, and partnered with 50+ schools. By 2030, we aim to reach another one million.

What we believe

Deep learning happens when students think, create, test, reflect, and improve.

Our curriculum is not a series of activities to complete — it's a progressive journey of capability-building that treats every child as a thinker, maker, collaborator, and future changemaker.

PK

Rooted in Pakistan

Every challenge, every phenomenon, every example is drawn from the Pakistani experience — the monsoon, the bazaar, the Indus, load-shedding, the flood. Students learn about their world.

DT

Design Thinking as the core process

Every grade runs on the same loop: Empathise → Define → Ideate → Prototype → Test → Iterate. We don't teach design thinking — we work that way.

V

Values as a quiet thread

Values like Tafakkur (reflection), Amanah (stewardship), Ilm (knowledge), Khidmat (service) and Islah (reform) are offered as a lens through which students may find deeper meaning in what they build.

PB

Performance-based assessment

Assessment is never about right or wrong answers. Students show growth through what they build, explain, create, and improve. Teachers document and celebrate progress — not grade products.

CE

Culmination events

Every term ends with a real audience — parents, community leaders, local business — giving student work genuine stakes, meaning, and pride.

AR

Arts is non-negotiable

STEAM, not STEM. Creativity, storytelling, aesthetics and craft are treated as equal partners to science and engineering — because that's how innovation actually happens.

Our educators

STEAM experts. Rigorously trained.

Our trainers don't walk into classrooms the day they're hired. Every TechTree educator completes a multi-phase certification covering pedagogy, Design Thinking, child development, AI literacy, classroom management, and our proprietary curriculum framework.

  • Orientation & pedagogy foundations — world-class frameworks adapted for Pakistan
  • Hands-on certification across Robotics, Coding, AI, and Electronics tracks
  • Classroom shadowing with senior trainers before solo delivery
  • Continuous upskilling with quarterly refreshers & assessments
  • Regular training from STEAM and child-development experts around the world

Our mission

Empower 1 million students with future-ready skills by 2030.

Pakistan faces extraordinary challenges — climate vulnerability, water scarcity, energy insecurity, youth unemployment — and extraordinary opportunities. A generation of young Pakistanis who can think critically, design empathetically, and communicate powerfully is the most important national resource we can build.

This is our commitment to building that generation, one class at a time.
